Parish Three Day Celebration of Light, Sound and Taste
This three-day Parish celebration of sight, sound, and taste will feature local artists and musicians and will take place from January 6-8, 2023. It will include a weekend-long art exhibit and a Saturday evening soiree with live music. We will be holding the entirety of the event in the Franciscan Community Center on 97th St.
The auditorium will be transformed into an art gallery featuring local Catholic artists. On Friday evening, January 6th, Saturday morning, January 7th, and Sunday throughout the day, the Franciscan Community Center will be open to the public so that everyone can see the pieces on display, buy raffle tickets to win some great gift baskets and a cash prize, and speak to the artists. Light refreshments will be served.
On Saturday, January 7th at 6:30 pm the parish will be throwing an evening Soiree. At this event, also held in the Franciscan Community Center, our senses will be treated to live music, the works of art displayed in our gallery, and a sampling of food representative of our diverse community. At the soiree we will hold our art auction and raffle drawing. Beer and wine will be served and space is limited, so this is a ticketed event for adults only. Tickets are $100 a person.
There are many ways to support our parish through this event. First, please purchase tickets for the Saturday evening Soiree on January 7th and purchase raffle tickets as well. Raffle tickets will be on sale after Christmas and tickets for the evening event on January 7th are now available at the parish office. Second, visit the art exhibit on the weekend of January 6th -8th. It is a great way to support some of our local Catholic artists and bid on some of their pieces to support our parish. Third, if you own a business consider being a sponsor. Sponsorship opportunities are included in the following pages. Finally, we are looking for a few volunteers to help prepare the Franciscan Community Center and to help serve as hosts for our art exhibit and Saturday evening Soiree. I look forward to celebrating and supporting our parish community with all of you!
In Christ,
Fr. George Sears, Pastor
