Holy Name of Jesus - Saint Gregory the Great Parish

Welcome

Welcome!

The Parish of the Holy Name of Jesus-St Gregory the Great is a vibrant urban ministry in the Roman Catholic Church within the Franciscan tradition. In our rich diversity of cultures and languages, we seek to be open to God's spirit so that we might grow in the faith that makes us one and give witness to the presence of Christ in our daily lives. As instruments of God's peace, we reach out to an welcome all people with a special concern for the poor, the alienated and the immigrant. We do this through worship, education and outreach in fulfilling our dream that all might be served in the spirit of St. Francis.

RCIA- Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A ROMAN CATHOLIC?

How does an adult become a Roman Catholic - become baptized, confirmed, and receive First Eucharist/Holy Communion?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (the RCIA) is the Roman Catholic Church’s process by which adults are brought into the worshiping community, the Church, and mature in their love for Jesus Christ.  The RCIA process unfolds over several months and includes study of the Bible, the Mass, the Sacraments, the seasons and feasts of the Church year, prayer, the teachings of the Church, reflection and discussion.
