What We Do

The Choirs at Holy Name-St. Gregory

Support the Sunday liturgies, as well as special Christmas and Holy Week liturgies
Provide a social network of neighbors and community, with membership extending to all five boroughs of the city
Offer an engaging and fulfilling way to ‘pray the Mass’
Accommodate busy New Yorkers by rehearsing on Sunday, with optional/occasional weekday rehearsals
Prepare special music for presentation throughout the year
Enjoy a nine-month schedule starting in September and ending in May
Connect musicians and music-minded people of all levels of ability
Provide deeper insights into Sacred Scripture and the Roman Catholic tradition
Promote beneficial music habits and development for individual members
Welcome all who are interested in growing their musical ability in a church setting
