Get Involved
The word for love is also commonly translated as charity, which has been described as "the most excellent of the virtues" by St. Thomas Aquinas. The fruits of charity in one's life are incredible - joy, peace, and mercy!
Our parish looks to provide opportunities for us to express this highest virtue of charity. We invite you to consider serving others, whether as a regular volunteer or simply by giving it a try. You might be surprised by the fruits that follow, both in your own life and in the lives of those you serve.

administration
Collection Counters Ministry
- Assists in counting collections from the weekend liturgies and holidays and feast days.
- Meets every Monday, except for Federal Holidays, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Rectory.
- Sort and verify contributions from envelopes.
- Prepare a collection form for recording contributions for each Mass.
Finance Council
- Advises the pastor on financial planning, including the yearly budget and capital projects.
- Meets twice annually.

faith formation
Faith Formation is a lifelong journey, and our parish offers many opportunities for the community to get involved. We rely on dedicated volunteers to support our program and welcome those interested in serving as catechists or assistants. Your involvement is key to providing our children with the faith formation they need.

- Family Retreats (English, Spanish, French/Creole): Facilitate 60-minute sessions for specific age groups during bi-monthly retreats. Commitment: 10 hours.
- TeenCAT (High School Program): Lead 10 dynamic 90-minute sessions from September to April. Commitment: 5-6 hours.
- Adults (English, Spanish, French/Creole): Support adults as they deepen their faith and connection to the community by facilitating weekly RCIA sessions and leading 10 adult confirmation classes from January to April. Commitment: 4-5 hours.
- Liturgy of the Word for Children (English, Spanish, French/Creole): Lead age-appropriate Liturgies of the Word during Advent and Lent to engage young children at Sunday Mass.
Mentors and Sponsors
Join our faith formation program as a mentor or sponsor! Support families between retreats by engaging with family clusters, sharing in Mass, and leading three gatherings. In the RCIA process, guide Catechumens and Candidates through discussions, parish activities, and casual meet-ups. Help them feel welcomed and at home in the community as we grow together in faith!youth ministry
Commit 2–6 hours per month to inspire and engage our youth. Lead weekly meetings (1–2 hours), plan events, and participate in retreats and service projects. Your leadership can make a lasting impact on our young's people's faith journey!hospitality and welcome team
Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for family retreats and events by helping with setup (either the day before or on the event day), arriving early, and staying afterward to clean up and connect with participants. Be the friendly face that makes our gatherings unforgettable!

Support our faith formation program by assisting with administrative tasks, preparing materials, and providing vital support for catechetical sessions. Your contributions will help create a meaningful experience for our community! Commitment: 2–4 hours per week or on weekends.

Evangelization

This role involves attending events, documenting key moments, and providing photos to the Social Media Manager. Time commitment: 2-4 hours per event.videographer for social media content
Capture and edit videos that showcase parish life, events, and evangelization efforts for social media, the parish website, or special gatherings. Create engaging videos, graphics, and posts to share the faith, invite participation, and highlight stories of parish life. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Faith Formation team to develop meaningful content for various platforms. Time commitment: 2-4 hours per week.translator
Translate parish materials, such as faith formation handbooks, bulletin blurbs, and event flyers, from English to Spanish or French Creole (and vice versa). Provide live simultaneous interpretation at events to ensure accessibility for non-English-speaking members. Time commitment: 2-5 hours per week for written translation; 1-3 hours per event for live interpretation.

Liturgical Ministry
Lectors at Mass
The Word of God comes alive as God speaks to His people in the Eucharistic liturgy. Ministers of the Word have the important role of proclaiming the Word of God at all parish liturgies during the year. Lectors will usually serve at the same Mass each weekend, becoming a member of the Ministry Team for that Mass. Training workshops are provided to help each minister develop the necessary skills to serve the community.
Usher-hospitality
Our Usher Hospitality Ministry at the Catholic Church is seeking compassionate volunteers to help create a warm and welcoming environment for parishioners and visitors. As an usher, you'll assist with seating, distribute materials, and ensure a smooth experience during Mass and events. If you have a friendly demeanor and a heart for service, we’d love to have you on our team!
