STEWARDHSIP AT HOLY NAME OF HOLY NAME OF JESUS-ST. GREGORY THE GREAT
In May of 2007 a group of parishioners interested in learning how to become better Christian stewards gathered for prayer, reflection and discussion. A formal parish committee evolved from this retreat and began meeting to discern how to bring the message of stewardship to the men, women and children of the parish.
The committee’s mission is to promote a conscious way of living that thanks God for all blessings received by returning a portion of these blessings for the building of the Kingdom of God. The spirituality that supports this way of life is deeply rooted in the Old Testament and in the teachings of Jesus and his first followers. Where this spirituality has been studied, reflected upon and eventually implemented, both givers’ and receivers’ lives have been changed and spiritually rewarded.
Through its presentations, projects and programs the Stewardship Committee hopes to deepen parishioner’s relationships with Jesus Christ as it challenges itself and all members of the parish to more deeply invest in Holy Name of Jesus-St. Gregory the Great through the intentional, planned and proportionate giving of a portion of their time, talent and treasure for the strengthening of the community of faith.
