Adult Faith Formation

The Adult Faith Formation Committee was formed in 2003 to provide available, attractive and effective programs and experiences to renew and deepen our adult community’s love of the spituality of our Catholic faith and its sacramental beliefs.

Through prayerful exploration we offer specific topical study, parish lectures and opportunities for prayer and reflection for liturgical seasons and feasts.

Relying on the grace of the Holy Spirit we work within our Franciscan-based tradition as we reach out to serve, support and encourage all on their spiritual journey with Jesus Christ.

RCIA

How does an adult become a Roman Catholic - become baptized, confirmed, and receive First Eucharist/Holy Communion?

The RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA) is the Roman Catholic Church’s process by which adults are brought into the worshipping community - the Church.  The process unfolds over several months and includes study of the Bible, the teachings of the Church, the Mass, the Sacraments, the seasons and feasts of the Church year, prayer, reflection and discussion.

ARE YOU ALREADY BAPTIZED?

The RCIA process is also the way in which those already baptized into another Christian tradition are brought into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.  In addition, it is the way that adult baptized Catholics are prepared for the reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist/Holy Communion.

RCIA members meet together on Thursday evenings and at the Sunday Noon Liturgy.
